Privacy policy
The short version
The traits you enter in our calculators, such as hair colors, are processed only by JavaScript in your own browser. They are not sent to our server or to anyone else, and they are not saved. Closing or reloading the page clears them.
What we do not do
- We do not ask you to create an account.
- We do not use cookies.
- We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
- We do not load fonts, scripts or images from third-party servers.
Result images you choose to share
Some calculators can turn your result into a picture. The picture is drawn inside your browser and is not uploaded to us. It only leaves your device if you choose to share or save it yourself, for example through your phone's share menu. After that, the app or person you send it to can see the hair colors shown in the picture.
Information our web host may record
Like almost every website, the server that delivers our pages may keep standard technical logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability. They do not contain anything you type into a calculator, because calculator answers never leave your browser.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to scientific sources such as MedlinePlus and academic journals. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply if you follow a link.
Changes to this policy
If we add analytics, advertising (for example Google AdSense) or any feature that handles personal data, we will update this policy before it goes live and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
